Put The Doritos Aside For These Veggie Chips

It’s football season and your kitchen is probably all stacked up with a variety of different chips. Even going to the grocery, the first thing you see on the front shells are Doritos, Ruffles, Pringles etc. A lot of salty, crunchy and addictive snacks. Well, I know it is hard to avoid the temptation, but let me at least change your snacking hour for something better and healthier.

Veggie chips! This colorful, tasty snack makes vegetables taste better than ever.Whether you love to eat vegetables or you hate them, these chips are a perfect solution for satisfying your salty cravings.

Unfortunately we don’t have these veggie chips in Macedonia, but my boyfriend brought them to me from Austria. So, I don’t know, I could probably find a recipe and try to make them and then share it with you, but for now I just want to let you know about the nutrients and the taste of these amazing, crispy things. He decided to buy the carrot and beetroot  version. image1 (2)

Just imagine, eating beetroot as chips, in a delicious version of themselves. Even the fresh organic beetroot is jealous of its baked version.

The first question that I asked was: “Are they healthy enough for me?” Well, trust me, they are! They are packed with fiber and vitamins. They are also a good source of minerals like calcium and iron. This guilt-free snack is one of the best ways to enjoy your vegetables. By the way you can take it anywhere. Going to watch the semi final football match on Wednesday at your friends house? In that case, take these munchies with you (believe me, you won’t miss the potato chips, not even for a moment).

Me as a fitness rat and healthy food addict, I still want to let you know that even though these chips are healthier than potato chips, they are still chips! So please mind your portions, and be aware of how much you eat.

Anyways guys, it’s snack o’clock, so let me go and enjoy my veggies. Next time you get a munching desire attack, buy veggie chips, or prepare them by yourself.

Then, go ahead and tell your mom that you are now eating more vegetables as she probably has recommended and requested from you😉
