New Year Detox Smoothie

New year, new you, new beginnings, new smoothies.

It’s about time to leave 2017 behind and look to the new year ahead. The first thing I recommend is to restart your body and mind, and begin this year stronger and healthier than ever.

Raise your hand if you feel like you need a recovery from the holiday parties, night-outs, staying up too late and eating too much bad food?

Well, me too. But I have the perfect detox green-smoothie for this first episode of the 2k18 season. If you feel the same way, then keep scrolling and let’s get back on track.

You know you have become pro at making perfect green smoothies when you don’t feel like they have anything green or vegetable-ish inside. That’s how good I am when it comes to green smoothies.

This New Year Detox Pineapple Spinach smoothie has the perfect green color and tropical taste. You can’t feel the spinach at all, and that’s cool. All you taste is the sweet, yummy pineapple. In fact, spinach is one of the mildest veggies that you can add to your smoothie, so it’s a great option for green smoothie starters.

Some of my friends have a philosophy that every smoothie needs a banana and some yogurt to taste good. Well… My philosophy is, keep things simple. That’s how I know that I get all the nutritions from the ingredients I use for my smoothies.

To me that’s the easiest way to boost your greens intake.

Fresh spinach, plenty of sweet pineapple, Almond-vanilla milk and a few ice cubes make one yummy Detox Pineapple Spinach Smoothie.

Enjoy this yummy and nourishing new year detox green smoothie.

Be your healthiest self this year!

  • 1 cup fresh chopped pineapple
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach
  • ¼-1/2 cup Almond milk
  • Ice (optional)
  • Honey (optional)

Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth.
